Trip to Salt Lake

We went to the Christmas concert on Temple Square. Afterwards we walked around to see all the lights. Here are a few shots.

The moon was full and just peacking over the Temple. I thought it looked so beautiful.

This wonderful depiction of the Nativity was in the middle of the reflection pool. The figures were so white they looked like glazed porcelain. The church has done a good job at helping me envision what it may have looked like and even how it must have felt like. Mary certainly didn't have it easy. She had to ride a donkey whilst in labor. Can any of us imagine?

Thanks to Ember and Steve for watching little Ellyn while we went. Isn't family wonderful?!

I love this time of year. I know the discussions are in full bloom as to the real meaning of Christmas and what the proper way to celebrate it, but I love to just sit back and not really care about all of that. I love letting the magic sink in and to remember the wonderful memories that this time of year has added to my life.

I just LOVE Temple square at Christmas time! I am so glad you got to go see it. And that nativity is awesome! It is new since I was last there, and it is really striking against the reflective pool. You look adorable in the first photo too, by the way. I love blogging! It is so good to get connected again. :)
