the Big Freeze

So our beautiful garden froze this last weekend. It was really depressing and now our table is full of tomatoes and squash. I really reminded me that I am not excited for the snow and the cold. As the picture tells I have been doing a lot of bottling with Mom, and Jarad and I have done some together too. It's been a blast. I always sort of dreaded the canning season as a little child, but I really think it's great fun and very fulfilling.

Ellyn is growing so big. She will be 6 months next week on the 24th which is the same day her Uncle Jeff is getting married to (almost) Aunt Carly.

My garden ate it this weekend too, kind of sad, but kind of glad. If I saw another tomato, I might have vomited. I can't believe all the wonderful canning you did, that's great. I made salsa, but that was about it. Your baby girl is getting so big, my goodness what a cutie.

Ahh, this takes me back. Good luck with all the canning! And give Ellyn a kiss from us!
